Sean Todd has been with the Jason Taylor Foundation since September of 2014. Being named VP of Operations in July of 2018, he is tasked with planning and executing all operational logistics for JTF events, programming, and fundraising initiatives, in addition to office, website and building management. Todd also managing a fiercely talented team of young artists who coordinate and administer the foundation’s Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network, having come up through the program as high school students themselves.
The Jason Taylor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which supports and creates programs that facilitate the personal growth and empowerment of South Florida’s children in need by focusing on improved health care, education and quality of life. Todd, alongside longtime friend and JTF Executive Director Seth Levit, achieves this mission by always striving to run an efficient operation while also fostering a family atmosphere among its staff members.
Todd has been instrumental in the development, evolution and execution of many annual JTF events and programming including Louder Than A Bomb Florida, a month-long poetry festival, and Whiffle Blast, a 35-team wiffleball tournament fundraiser. Most recently, due to COVID-19 precautions, he has spearheaded the foundation’s conversion to fully virtual events and programming, utilizing emerging technology to maximize the benefits and effectiveness.


In addition to his foundation work, Todd also manages Ops Guy Consulting, LLC through which he operates as his alter ego, DJ Prēc (pronounced preesh). Prēc specializes in youth and adult open mics and comedy shows but also serves as technical producer of The Fish Tank podcast as part of the Miami Dolphins Podcast Network, which is hosted by two-time Dolphins Team MVP, O.J. McDuffie, and Seth Levit, a former Miami Dolphins PR man.
Prior to joining the Jason Taylor Foundation, Todd spent 20 seasons working in football operations with the Miami Dolphins (1994-2000), Florida Atlantic University (2001-2012), and Florida International University (2013). As a staff member of the startup FAU Owls football team, Todd’s responsibilities included working side-by-side with head coach Howard Schnellenberger in building the fledgling football program from scratch while assisting with the Owls’ day-to-day operations, budgeting, team travel, football event management and all football related special events. In addition, he assisted administratively with academics, compliance, recruiting, scheduling and served as FAU’s pro liaison. He was part of the 2007 FAU team that garnered a spot in the college football record books as the youngest team in NCAA history to earn a bid to and win a bowl game in only it’s 7th year in existence. Todd was also involved in the design and operational functionality of FAU Stadium of which he oversaw the opening on October 15th, 2011 and his name is emblazoned on the “Foundation Builders & Record Setters” monument located in the South West Plaza.
Sean and his wife, Laura Courtley-Todd (former St. Thomas University Director of Athletics) have a daughter, Sidney, and reside in Sunrise, Florida.
